Muzikološka delavnica: Analiza in izvedba Knjig pesmi Johna Cagea
Oddelek za muzikologijo Filozofske fakultete vabi na muzikološko delavnico, ki jo pripravlja v sodelovanju s festivalom Forum nove glasbe. Delavnica, ki jo bo vodila Simone Heilgendorff, z naslovom Analiza in izvedba Knjig pesmi Johna Cagea / Analysis and Performance of John Cage’s Song Books bo v četrtek, 20. 11. 2025, ob 13.00 v predavalnici 535B. Delavnica bo potekala v angleškem jeziku.
Simone Heilgendorff, ki bo predstavila znamenito zbirko del Johna Cagea, je muzikologinja, violistka in glasbena kuratorka. Trenutno je začasna profesorica muzikologije na Oddelku za sakralno glasbo in muzikologijo Univerze v Greifswaldu in zasebna docentka na Univerzi v Salzburgu (Avstrija). Poleg svojih dolžnosti kot univerzitetna profesorica je bila od leta 2013 do 2016 vodja mednarodnega raziskovalnega projekta FWF New Music Festivals as Agorai (Univerza v Salzburgu). Kot violistka je ustanovna članica berlinske zasedbe Kairos Quartet, ki je specializiran za sodobno (umetnostno) glasbo. Simone Heilgendorff se osredotoča na glasbo našega časa in baroka v kontekstu kulturnih študij, performativne glasbene analize in študij izvedbe ter umetniškega raziskovanja.
Vsebino predstavitve je strnila v pesmi s posvetilom skladatelju.

I will focus on Song Books by John Cage. Experimental on
many levels, this lecture intrOduces the piece,
a turning point in Cage’s work, its estHetic and cultural contexts.
Consecutively, all the workshop’s participaNts can create their own practical
and productive enCounters
with this piece. Commissioned by FestivAl d’Automne a Paris in 1970
this mile stone in music h is an encompassinG compilation of musical material,
arranged in 90 solos for voicE and/or theater,
in 8 notation types. As an experimental multI-media model of theater,
Song Books contains aNd structures a wide range of
references to historic anD current cultural life, from the
arts over politics to Everyday actions, and to two
of his favorite artists: FrEnch composer Erik Satie
and the 19th century American Poet and thinker Henry David Thoreau.
