Education:

2004 – university graduate historian; a thesis: Žena ostani žena! : žensko vprašanje in odnos do ženske v slovaškem in slovenskem ženskem časopisju do razpada monarhije [Woman Stay Woman! : Women's Issue and Attitude towards Women in Slovak and Slovenian Women's Newspapers until the Collapse of the Monarchy] (Mentor: prof. dr. Janez Cvirn)

2010 – PhD in the field of historiography; a dissertation: Slovenci v Kanadi : izseljevanje skozi prizmo življenjskih zgodb [Slovenes in Canada: Emigration through the Prism of Life Stories] (Mentor: prof. dr. Marta Verginella)

 

Employment:

2006–2010 – young research fellow at the Slovenian Migration Institute at the Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Art (ZRC SAZU)

2010–2013 – assistant with PhD at the Slovenian Migration Institute at the Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Art (ZRC SAZU)

2012–2017 – assistant with PhD at the Department of History at the Faculty of Arts UL

2018–2023 – assistant professor at the Department of History at the Faculty of Arts UL

 

Education abroad:

1999/2000 – a one-year study in Bratislava within the Socrates program

2006 (october) – a three-week intensive course for postgraduate students in migration studies at the Carl von Ossietzky University in Oldenburg, Germany

2011 (september) – a one-month scholarship to the University of Stavanger, Norway within the Mobility Program (Norwegian Financial Mechanism, EEA Grants)

2012 (april) – a one-month scholarship in Toronto (International Council for Canadian Studies)
