The structure of a source file. The syntax and processing of LaTeX commands and environments. Structural and formatting commands, environments and packages: sectioning; basic formatting; references; including pictures and (sub)documents; tables and floating environments; literature and citing; non-English and multilingual documents; linguistic examples; diagrammes, linguistic trees and charts; presentations.
Programming in (La)TeX: defining new commands (TeX, LaTeX, LaTeX3); primitive
commands, macros and registers; key-value lists; flow control; the structure of LaTeX packages and classes. TeX’s formats and engines. TeX extensions. Online (La)TeX tools, sources and forums. Specialized editors. PDF manipulation.
