Mladen Pavičić, born in April 1961, graduated from the Faculty of Arts Ljubljana in 1987. Starting December 1987 until the end of the academic year he taught at Vida Janežič High School for Social Sciences and General Culture. In October 1988 he embarked on a career of teaching Slovene language abroad, first at Jagiellonian University in Krakow, then moving to Budapest four years later where he still teaches at Eötvös Loránd University (better known as ELTE) to this day. In 2015/2016 he lectured at the universities of Krakow and Budapest.
In his early years he regularly taught at the Summer school of Slovene Language and over the last few years he’s been teaching at The Seminar of Slovene Language, Literature and Culture.
